Africa is not allowed to grow because of growth in the global north. Degrowth is not aimed at the GS. It’s aimed at over-consuming in GN to allow redistribution of resources.

The figures are complete bunkum. Legal challenges are made in a very tiny subset of cases and have been declining rapidly following the abolition of SHD. There are around 1,500 granted units in JR and 700 refused units in JR. docs.google.com/spreadsheets...

These two statements in the judgement cannot be reconciled with each other.

The logical consequence of the interpretation of s.15 of the Act in the judgement is that must apply equally.

There cannot be one rule for one and one rule for another

A very strange comment by Mr Justice Humphreys in the Coolglass judgement.

Displacement (Leakage) effects are completely irrelevant to the assessment of any planning application. The obligation on the State is to reduce national territorial emissions. Period.

Very far reaching decision by Mr. Justice Humphreys today. He even found that An Bord Pleanala acted in contravention of the European Convention of Human Rights in refusing permission for a wind farm

Really commentary on the increasing proliferation of smaller housing units in cities like the recently refused homogenous micro-unit development in Dundrum
