Yes, I walk daily, for several reasons—the meditative rhythm, the inspiration of the landscape, to help regulate my nervous system, for blood flow through my body, to fire imagination (for my writing) and because it makes me feel good. A panacea, in other words.

Lamb’s quarter, certain mushrooms, dandelion when young, wild celery, young plantain…

Remember I wrote about finally getting our asparagus to come on? Seems the voles like it too and they ate quite a few of the roots…aarrgghh. Even with several sonic mechanisms to dissuade them…
