I live in Oak Park, we had to put two schools on soft lockdown because the ice agents pulled out their guns right by the schools to take into custody some painters and landscapers.

To clarify to everyone asking, this is a proposed amendment to the budget bill by @jayapal.house.gov. Here’s a video of Rep. Jayapal reporting that the House GOP voted against the amendment which would ultimately allow ICE to deport US citizens: youtu.be/92Ujti81QiI?..

To further clarify, a Republican-led Judiciary Committee voted against protecting American citizens from unlawful detention and exile in a common-sense amendment introduced by Rep. Pramila Jayapal on the GOP’s border and defense reconciliation package.
