We will continue to fight—alongside parents, doctors, young people, and everyone who believes that care is not a crime, and that affirmation is not abuse. We will organize. We will continue to push back. We will continue build our power.

It sends a message to every trans kid that their pain doesn’t matter, that their identity is up for debate, and that their existence is a problem to be legislated.

We at the Stonewall Democratic Club will not stay quiet.

This is not about protecting children. It’s about controlling them. Controlling families. Controlling gender. Controlling truth.

This isn’t just a legal loss. It’s a moral one.

I am so tired of hearing “parental rights” used as a shield for cruelty. Real parental rights mean being able to love and care for your child—not having that stripped away because some politician or judge thinks they know better.

Denying access to gender-affirming care—including mental health support—isn’t just negligent. It’s deadly.

According to The Trevor Project’s 2023 National Survey on LGBTQ Youth Mental Health, closeted trans and nonbinary youth who lack access to affirming spaces attempt suicide at more than double the rate of those who are supported.

And for what? To score points with extremists who think they know our families better than we do?

By upholding these cruel bans, the Court has effectively handed states the power to raise suicide rates among transgender youth.

Let me be clear: this ruling puts lives at risk. It strips parents of the right to support their own children. It denies medically necessary care to kids who are simply trying to survive in a world that already makes it hard enough for them to exist.
