After a particularly miserable week, it was good to ring some bells here at Over.

Not exactly my most competent handling of a bell, but I had the best and most cheerful company!

Imagine trying to take one of these critters for a walk. Absolute carnage.

(No bells here. Well there’s a tiny one in the little chapel but not the sort you can ring, only jingle about a bit!)

I’ve been bell ringing for about five months and tonight at practice someone said “you no longer have an expression of pure panic on your face when you’re ringing”. And I reckon that’s about as good as it gets!

One of the many good things about bellringing is seeing all the best bits of churches.
