I joined my parents on a trip to a local nursery this afternoon. I bought a new Mahogany Splendor hibiscus (the raccoons killed my cuttings from the first), and my parents picked up an olive tree, some Kalanchoe, Gerber daisies, and two irises. My mom also got a cute decoration to treat herself.

I joined my parents on a trip to a local nursery this afternoon. I bought a new Mahogany Splendor hibiscus (the raccoons killed my cuttings from the first), and my parents picked up an olive tree, some Kalanchoe, Gerber daisies, and two irises. My mom also got a cute decoration to treat herself.
*cackling and squealing with joy*
My Pandora Hearts Nendoroids are finally on their way! At least I can mentally prepare myself now for the emotional breakdown that I'll likely experience upon opening the package.

We ended our Thanksgiving trip at my grandfather's house. My aunt and uncle have been slowly making some much needed changes to the house, so it was probably my last chance to photograph this carpet before it's finally replaced. I both love and hate this carpet.

This makes me want to visit Nebraska to see this. I only ever get to see maybe 10 of these beauties in close proximity to each other within a 10 mile radius here in Central Florida. They've become one of my favorite birds in the past 4 years.

It's been exactly 1 year since I last visited this park. I've been anxiously waiting for news of the boardwalk reopening. They began reconstruction in April of 2023. I can see more of Lake John from the boardwalk than the 3 Park Trail.

Our second year here, Mom and I scattered some cosmos seeds out back, and they've made a comeback every year. We get more yellow ones than any other color, so it's exciting whenever I see a different color appear in the bunch.

My favorite thing about our neighborhood? The sandhill cranes. It's kind of funny seeing them just strutting up and down the streets. They truly own the neighborhood. We have one asshole, though, who tries to pick a fight with them when he's out jogging. He deserves to get beat up by the birds.

I honestly love my neighborhood. I'm greeted by a wonderful sight whenever I step outside.
