Ninth House is definitely one of her most popular works so I’d say that one. I do have the sequel Hell Bent which I will eventually get around to but because it’s been over a year since I read Ninth House I’d rather reread it first so that my memory is refreshed haha

The only other books I read by her were Ninth House and Shadow and Bone. I don’t mind her as an author but I also don’t feel strongly attached to her works either.

Glad I’m not alone on having these thoughts! It was one of my most anticipated reads for this year too and I felt incredibly bummed out once I finished. Oh well.

Exactly! A lot of the time the narrator was having these monologues that felt out of place and had nothing to do with the main plot. The whole suspense about the Centre itself was a waste of time and by the end of the book I was so done with it ☠️
