We have 3 "kittens" (aka teenage kittens) who have never seen Christmas. We put our tree up on cinder blocks every year, but this year we added a cat tunnel to redirect their curiosity. Seems to be mostly working/helping so far!

I did the thing in TX! 💙👍Also, right after voting I grabbed lunch & the young lady who served me asked about my sticker. She's 18 & registered but hasn't voted before & didn't know where to go or proper procedure. I was delighted to show her our county's election website ...

Hey, y'all! (I consider myself kind of an #UglyDogs sidekick since I live far away from anything cold & am actually mostly a crazy cat lady 🤷‍♀️ But I still love *all* the dogs & this jumbled wonderful community 🥰) Welcome new-skies!
Charlie, an orange & white tabby youngster, blebs in the general direction of the camera while Archer, a mature tuxedo cat looks suspiciously at the whippersnapper. Pixie, a gray & white tabby, sits on a bed looking somewhat put out by all the attention, as a tabby often does. Charlie, the orange & white tabby boy, leans over a tall stool as if to say, "Hi! Murry, an almost all-black cat sits regally in a classic "Halloween black cat pose" (which is a total lie bc he's a gongy-gongy teenager of a cat who's usually parkcouring off the walls). So... this past year, we brought 3 boys into our home to join/keep our 13 & 14 yr old cats company. It's honestly going well & the oldsters tolerate the newbies pretty well. Took a couple of weeks, but they hang out together now. Bonus, we kind of accidentally adopted the perfect October trio 😻

SO PRECIOUS! (My husband has had a hard limit of no more than 4 at any time, with good reason, tbh, but after we lost 2 of our older ones last fall & adopted a singleton in Jan, he needed a friend. Cut to 2 bonded brothers in the shelter in July... and now we're currently 5! 😉🤗😁)

My phone isn't cooperating so I can't find a spring/summer pic right now, but this is one of the last pics I took before we move (in Feb 2017, so nothing is blooming yet). That's one magnolia up against our garage & you can see the other one peeking over the roof beside the main part of the house.

It's not exactly a pet pic, but we visited with a friend yesterday who has abt a dozen goats & has 2 sweet horses that are used for equine therapy that live on her property, too. My 10 yr old enjoyed visiting with them.

Sad news, tonight. Had to say goodbye to my best buddy, my shadow, my heart pet, Clyde tonight. Advanced plueral effusion meant invasive, extensive treatment with no guaranteed quality of life, so I said goodbye with him purring in my hands. 14 yrs is a long time but not long enough 💔🌈

One of my favorite parts of the eclipse is seeing the "dragon scale shadows" (per my daughter). Caused either by the pinhole effect of the light through the leaves... or a shadow dragon 🤷‍♀️🐉

Partial eclipse! We're just a few miles north of being able to see the full ring of fire, but still pretty awesome! Nice warm-up for April ☀️🌕🥰

A book's a book 🤷‍♀️ These are 2 of the 4 books my 4th grader just brought home after library day this week. 😏 (I'm not sure she's read the basketball fairy one but if not, that's probably only bc her school & our local library doesn't have it.)

We're going to put something more reliable in next year. What we have now tends to overheat or sticks when it gets into the high 90s/100s, which kind of defeats the purpose 🤷‍♀️ Thankfully my housesitter kept my flowers alive, so that's better than nothing. The butterflies & my bees appreciate that!
