I just finished reading David Michie’s book the Dalai Lama’s Cat. (Fiction) This extract about anger seems, to me to be close to Stoic philosophy.

I enjoyed reading it and definitely recommend it.

Sorry for the delayed reply. (I’m not an expert in either.) My impression is they both seek a middle way.
Both have influenced modern psychology, CBT & mindfulness. Seeing things clearly. Recognising that attachment to things is a basis of suffering.
