UK Folks.

If you're concerned about the catastrophic impact of generative AI on the creative industries & the theft of artists/writers creations, then you REALLY NEED to complete the below online consultation form.

This is your chance to say 'fuck off, this is not okay'

Copyright and Artificial Intelligence
This consultation seeks views on how the government can ensure the UK’s legal framework for AI and copyright supports the UK creative industries and AI sector together.

The freedom to pilfer, steal, and plunder creativity the UK is formally going to give to AI companies is absolutely staggering. If you're in the UK, take this stand right now. This is a fence that you can't put back up if it passes you, and it will kill the UK creative sector.

not a gamedev but a vast majority of recent indies **i have been seeing** are derivatives of the same formulae - rxgxxlxt/kxs, dyckbyyldyrs, fzrmzng, so on

i am not informed about the bit about the publishers though. is it about games like Str∀y?
That "indie" is where innovation happens generally isn't true anymore. We iterate to breakthroughs. At large, indie is more risk-averse & homogenous than it's been - publishers gatekeep, focus on graphics, and balloon budgets. Innovation comes from self-published games launching their practice game.
