Assuming the retailers' margins can't change, then a 20% tariff to the wholesalers' cost equates to more than 20% at the retailers' tills.
Then add sales tax to that higher cost.

Efficiency

Incandescent bulbs had a filiment in a vacuum that burns bright when electricity passes through. Halogen gas was later added to give a better clearer light.

Now banned in the EU, they were replaced with LED bulbs that use a fraction of the energy and have a much longer life.

Colour
Kelvin is used to measure how white or yellow, cold or warm the bulb is.

5000K is considered to be day light. Any higher than that is very blue.

Below 5000k, the light graduates to a warmer yellow colour.
2000k is almost orange.
2500 to 3000K is warm and comfortable.

Lumens
Brightness of bulbs used to be discussed in terms of Watts. 100 watt was bright 25 watt was dim etc.
With LEDs, brightness is now talked about in Lumens

806Lms is the most popular a for standard bedroom
400Lms is for background like a table lamp
