My name's Alex. I'm a physicist and storyteller. I have argued enough for a lifetime.

I try to be a calm voice in turbulent times, explaining science to those interested.

While I slowly discover the platform, I thought I'd put something out there to find for those of you browsing profiles like I do at the moment.

Won't post many pics of myself and stuff, but I'm not difficult to get to know, that's for sure. 😁

Back in the day, HiRISE images were some of the most beautiful classroom resources we ever used. 😍

I mean, how great is it that they put them out there?
HiRISE 3D: Pits Sourcing a Channel

This image shows collapse pits at the edge of an infilled basin adjacent to the heavily faulted Ceraunius Fossae. These pits may be volcanic. A channel originates from one of the pits and continues into the basin.

Remember the eclipse back in April?

Since eclipses are rare I practiced camera settings and timing... then changed travel plans, watched the weather like a hawk, and ended up driving quite a bit. It all worked out. I'm proudest of this image and would love to do projects like this more often.
