In other words… the fix is already in. Trump’s DOJ toadies knew congress would likely approve the discharge petition in both houses, so they started a new “investigation” in order to prevent anything that might implicate Trump from ever being released.

Or… even if the resolution passes both chambers, he can refuse to sign it or veto given the new DOJ investigation (that he ordered) into Democrat politicians’ Epstein involvement. Even congress were to override a Trump veto, DOJ could refuse to discharge the files given an “ongoing investigation.”
