If mighty strike had one of my fastest arrive-to-build times, this is the slowest. I bought this Destiny Impulse in December 2023 and it's been sitting on my shelf since. But now the time has come!

Newer HGs are always a joy even tho this one had some Really tight joints and connects (that shoulder i nearly broke). I think I will do some custom work on this later, unless bandai announces an RG before that (unlikely).

My boi!!! With arms and a head. Did some extra sanding on the v-fins to make them sharper.
I also build the weapons, not pictured. Just wings to go and then... an Impulse? 👀

So... I almost Broke one of the shoulder joints. Yeah. And it's so deep inside I'll have to open the entire thing if it gives at some point. The dark sections also Mark Like Hell.
AND I dropped two(!!) pieces and almost lost them. One of them being...

Legs went pretty nicely but the blue and gold plastics mark really easily.
Waist went even better. The white is easy to clean and hides all the marked gold.
But oh dear space robots... the torso was Rough.

Me: Im gonna start from my oldest (as owned) kit.
Also me: what if i started w something a little easier like hg mighty strike.

Oh yeah and Mighty Strike Freedom was in that order too (I never order just one box, the shipping costs hurts less w 2+ boxes).

Being an adult means buying the cool anime shit you wanted 10-15 years ago but couldn't get cause no shop in Finland sold Robot Spirits and buying from the interwebs was scary.

What can I say. I like my silly lil mechas.

Brigands, basepaint and wash. The refs the game or even googling gives aren't great so had some trouble deciding the colors. The wash really made them look so much better. Next is highlights and quick varnish.

I started painting my Barbsung minis. The og plan was to paint all of them but just this set making me a little insane. I'm gonna finish these and then do something else. Like build gunpla.
