Whenever I have a cute contrarian investment idea in my head, I remind myself that a black sheep isn't a contrarian. It's a sheep with black fur.

The level of hubris coming from this US admin is really asking for trouble. How about China starts selling US treasuries in an orderly fashion and use the dollars to buy more gold, commodities and to fund geopolitically motivated projects *outside* of China? 1/2

What technical charting pattern is it when the President of the United States starts shitposting about gold reserves?

At this point, with all the hype they've created, there *must* be some big nuclear announcements coming from the US government... or they are going to lose all credibility

It would be a shame for nuclear utilities if Zoovch Ovoo was delayed by a few years. On average, 6Mlb of uranium shame per year to be precise (assuming a 2+ year ramp-up to full production rate of ~7.5Mlb/yr)

"Deep correction in gold is coming" has become almost a consensus view but I haven't seen anyone explain where else is the risk off money supposed to go when general equities are positioned to fall, inflation expected to raise & the world is losing trust in US treasuries 🤷‍♂️

Folks who spent the last week+ celebrating the victory over M23 and the restart of Bisie mine $AFM.V should really set up a Google alert for "Kabila". This mess is far from over #tin

Interesting discussion of the Rare Earth space: www.youtube.com/watch?v=uL8U.... Still not fully sold on the idea of treating clay in a washing machine (though hard to deny on-paper potential of Meteoric $MEI.AX) but I loved the comments about Energy Fuels $UUUU. It's truly one of a kind company 1/2

Why are silver bulls constantly ignoring that today it's mostly a by-product of other metals and it doesn't have a normal cost curve? Supply is dominated by price-insensitive sellers dumping their secondary by-product. Demand is dominated by industrial, not monetary buyers.

By some estimates, a new large-scale nuclear reactor in the US could cost up to $12B (vs ~$3B in China). Many in the US claim it's not possible for the state to help revitalize the nuclear industry and provide funding for such a project.

Meanwhile, the US government is happy to spend:

The only foolproof solution to the current tariff stand-off between the US and EU, is for @marossefcovic.bsky.social to arrive in Miami with a gift of solid bronze and gold Statue of Trump.

@ec.europa.eu, @kajakallas.bsky.social, please make it happen 🙏

Dear Supreme Leader,

We beg you to approve the Ambler Road ($TMQ) to unblock billions and billions of pounds of beautiful critical minerals - the likes of which nobody has ever seen

Only YOU can fix the injustice of Sleepy Joe Biden who blocked this project

Let's Make American Mining Great Again!

We now know without a shadow of a doubt that $URG's big raise was done to survive

I'm cheering for all uranium producers, but you can't escape the conclusion that US producers are simply pathetic.

Is the CEO going to be fired? I've heard there are some US ISR veterans available on the job market 😊

What was assumed to be waste material, turns out to be high-grade (>1% Cu-eq), open-pit material. The resources about to be expanded with a mineralized halo too. Yet, the market continues ignoring $XXIX.V. For how long?

Remarkable timing of the recent raise by Arras Minerals. Managed to close it without delay despite market turmoil. No warrants and Teck on board say it all about recent results and future potential of $ARK.V. They are now fully funded for tens of kilometers of drilling in a highly prospective area

Banning import of uranium from China is a step towards forcing US utilities to get serious about securing adequate uranium supplies from friendly sources.

The real elephant in the room is Kazakhstan, increasingly squeezed between Russia and China. A recipe for supply disruption.

The way long-term price reporting works is that a small, distressed wannabe producer (who may well never produce a pound), can set the public price in a given month for the entire 150+ Mlbs/yr market by signing a tiny 1 Mlbs fixed-price contract at a discount.

Uranium is a completely broken market.
