Mindful in as much that I have spent the best part of five years writing and working on this as part of my PhD. I am not about to attack you or demand apologies, rather, I just want you to understand that my pieces have a textured history to them based on my past work.

"wrong" is a matter of perspective. I disagree with you, especially in your framing of trans and the left-wing as THE problem. However, you have a different positionality to me, different experiences. Write how you feel, not want you think I or others think you should write. That's how I write.

Then be mindful that you are entering an area I write extensively on. You are perfectly entitled to write whatever you want, so my best advice is practice and put your work out there.

Seriously, your entire article missed the point I was making by a wide margin. You literally called out the framing of trans as non-cisgender by cherry picking it out of context. Just admit you wanted to express your own beliefs in a response article and be done with it.

I don't feel that way, I said I have seen it before. I prefer Hannah Arendt's take on assimilation, which shows its inherently contradictory nature. I also run a trans pressure group to turn theory into policy.

I have spent the last 25 years grappling with the points you have raised. Nothing you have said is novel; indeed, it is reminiscent of how trans people saw the world around 1999-2005. I do care about these ideas because this is my life as well. Yes, you are human, and yes you deserve dignity.

Yet you make it out to be. You literally called me out in your response for using trans over transsexual, then stating that transsexuals ought not be included under the trans umbrella for their own protection. You literally ignored the central point I originally made.

Two things:

A) you know zero about my personal background, namely that I fit your definition of "transsexual" to a tee and could easy play the "I am more trans than you game". It's junk

B) unfortunately it would appear you have misunderstood my point, in that if they come for one they come for all
