seems kind of outrageous that PAVLOVA, named for Anna Pavlova in 1926, is accepted! but it is uncapitalised in common usage (when referring to the dessert)

I think eponyms and eponymous adjectives (like this) are rejected on the same grounds as proper nouns where they're still capitalised in common usage. BOYCOTT for instance not commonly capitalises and has been accepted before
