Then the Democtratic Party should have run on expanding food stamps and other social services, housing, immigration reform, ending a genocide, etc. Funny how they run on finishing building the wall, deporting ppl, continuing to support Israel, and in general being Republicans Lite*

We're the wealthiest nation on this planet and there are developing nations that do better by their citizens, not to mention other developed nations. Sure, crumbs might be 'doing good', but they're not enough. We need a plan, looking at the other side and saying: 'but that's worse' is not a plan.

They absolutely can earn it. That's what campaigning is! They've held power plenty of times without advancing any significant agenda. Where is universal Healthcare? Student loan forgiveness? Women's rights law? Instead they campaigned as if it was G.W.Bush's 3rd term.

It's more: "I won't vote for Democrats until they produce a winning platform!"

If they want to win, then earn my vote. We're here because of their inaction as much as the actions of Republicans.

Nothing in that article points to any lasting achievements. Nothing of the covid era remains. The IRA and CHIPS might the closest to a lasting legacy but they might be too little too late. We'll see. And Eisenhower's? Kamala was basically running for George W. Bush's 3rd term.

What is your list of lasting accomplishments of the Biden admin? Trying doesn't count.
Funny how when Dems are in power nothing *can* be done and few things get UNdone because they have to ask for permission from Republicans. How come Republicans are never too hand tied to enact their agenda?

I'm simply arguing your points. I even agreed with you earlier. It is tedious for you because you've already drawn a complete picture of me in your head and you're fighting against him, not me.
You don't know me.
Call or write your representative and take it out on them.

No, they chose the candidate that promised to lower prices, peace, and most of all: change. He's not gonna do any of that, but that's what he said.
It's not a secret that people want wetter wages, better healthcare, better retirement, affordable housing, etc. Are those progressive?
Who's y'all?
January 22, 2025 at 4:03 PM
Absolutely. But I think it does matter, it is THE argument; that Dems are in power, and they are not 'the left' by any stretch of the imagination. Kamala was literally running on a 2003 Republican platform as if she were George W. Bush. They (Dems) had a chance to pivot and they squandered it.

To be fair, he didn't deliver on: student loan forgiveness, Palestinian genocide, women's rights, pathway to citizenship... He ran instead of doing primaries. What about expanding de Supreme Court? He only passed a watered down Build Back Better Act that doesn't do enough.

If I'm not mistaken: "heat death" (of the universe) means the end OF heat and not the end BY heat. So in Spanish, it would be: ¿Es ésta la muerte térmica del Universo?
On the plus side, if the answer is yes, that means you achieved the closest to immortality there is.
