When I read books about Hitler's rise to power, German high society had a similar dismissive view of the Nazi movement. Crackpots and lunatics. The unserious presentation of their ideas disarms liberals but they are deadly serious about the substance.

The most interesting finding is that many more Jews believe that opposing Israel’s right to exist is antisemitic than opposing Zionism: 87% think it’s antisemitic to oppose Israel’s right to exist, whereas 54% think opposing Zionism is antisemitic. Jews distinguish between these two positions.
