I assumed that without fp gain, Flow Aura decays at –3.3/sec even while moving in squid/kid form.
But I saw a clip: 800p in 65s (ranked) → 60s running/no paint → 2 kills (incl. First Splat) → Flow.
If moving keeps decay at –0.2 fp/s, the math lines up with Squid Flow.🤔

Flow Aura State requires you to reach 100 points to activate. In this, I will be referring to these points as flow points for ease of reading. Here is a list of things that can give you points. - Painting 10p grants you 0.8 flow points (0.6 flow points in Ranked modes) - Kills grant 23 flow points, up until 75 points in which it will grant 15. - Getting another kill within 5 seconds of your last kill increases this to 43 (this changes to 35 when at 75 flow points or higher.). This can repeat (eg. getting 3 kills in a row will apply this on your 2nd and 3rd kill). - Killing someone with Flow Aura grants an extra 10 flow points. - Getting the first kill of the lobby grants an extra 10 flow points. - You or your team causing a Wipeout grants 10 flow points (stacks with kill). - Getting an assist grants 4 flow points. - If the assist is through a damaging method specifically, this increases to 14 flow points instead. - Dying causes you to lose 5 flow points. - If your death is by a stage hazard, this increases to 10 flow points lost. While you can reach 100 points without getting kills, Flow Aura State will not activate until you get a kill. Your flow points decrease by 0.2 every second. If you have gone 5 seconds without gaining any flow points, this increases to 3.3 flow points lost per second. Once you have Flow Aura State, it lasts for 30 seconds. Any further kill or assist adds 10 seconds to this timer, but it caps out at 30 seconds total. Flow Aura State grants 30 AP (aka 3 mains) of Intensify Action, Run Speed Up, Swim Speed Up, and Ink Resistance Up. This cannot go beyond the usual cap of 57 AP. Notably, some parameters differ in Tricolor Turf War. Below, I've bolded any values that have changed compared to normal. (I am not sure how to denote this in alt text, my apologies.) Attackers require 90 flow points to activate Flow Aura State. Kills grant 23 points, up until 65 points in which it will grant 15. Getting another kill within 5 seconds of your last kill increases this to 43 (this changes to 35 when at 65 flow points or higher.) Defenders require 110 flow points to activate Flow Aura State. Kills grant 23 points, up until 85 points in which it will grant 15. Getting another kill within 5 seconds of your last kill increases this to 43 (this changes to 35 when at 85 flow points or higher.) Another thing to note, there are parameters for many ranked objectives that are set to 0, essentially making them go unused. I will note them below, as they could be considered in a future patch. Painting a Splat Zone. Breaking the enemy Clam Basket Barrier. Depositing Clams into the enemy Basket. Gaining points with the Rainmaker. Breaking a checkpoint in Rainmaker. Flow Aura activates if your total flow points reach 100 or more after a splat. Here, “flow points (fp)” are the points you build up to trigger Flow Aura, similar to Special points. Things that grant flow points ・Painting: Painting 10p grants 0.8 fp (0.6 fp in Ranked modes). ・Kills: Kills grant 23 fp, up until 75 fp, where they grant 15 fp instead. Additional bonuses apply to kills under these conditions: * Getting another kill within 5 seconds of your last kill grants an extra 20 fp. * Killing someone with Flow Aura grants an extra 10 fp. * Getting the first kill of the match (First Splat) grants an extra 10 fp. * If your kill causes a Wipeout, you gain an extra 10 fp. Wipeout: If a teammate’s kill causes a Wipeout, you also gain 10 fp. That is, when your team gets a Wipeout, all four players on your team gain 10 fp. Assists: An assist grants 4 fp (e.g., via the Point Sensor). If the assist involves dealing damage to an enemy Inkling, it grants 14 fp instead. Things that reduce flow points Getting splatted: Getting splatted makes you lose 5 fp. If you get splatted by a stage hazard (including falling), you lose 10 fp instead. Passive decay: Flow points decrease by 0.2 per second. Inactivity penalty: If you gain no flow points for 5 seconds, the decay rate increases to 3.3 per second. Flow point cap: 200 e.g., look at kills-only flow points for three kills within 5 seconds. First, the first kill grants +23 fp. Next, the second kill grants the base +23 fp plus the consecutive kill bonus of +20 fp, for a total of 43 fp from the second kill. Combining the first and second kills gives you 66 fp in total. The third kill works the same way, granting +23 fp base and +20 fp bonus, for 43 fp. However, if you already have 75 fp or more, the base value drops to +15 fp, so with the +20 bonus you would gain 35 fp instead. In this example, if your starting flow points are 0, you would have 66 fp after two kills, and the +43 fp from the third kill would bring you to 109 fp in total. Since this exceeds 100 fp, Flow Aura activates.
