now crazy q, but would you recommend the anime or manga? Or are they basically the same? I prefer mangas since it's easier for me to focus on, but if the anime is recommended, I will give that a look! :]

Rave Master is one of the earlier works, so it's prob a very very older Mashima style. But then again, I've read quite a few of his other older works and REALLY liked Monster Soul, so I'll prob give Rave a look
