I've moved away from the progressive side of the party, but AOC is definitely a leader we need.

You and I are interpreting this release differently.

My argument is that the IRS actually does care about people in disaster areas and gives them time to file and pay.

"The Oct. 15, 2025, deadline applies to individual income tax returns AND PAYMENTS normally due on April 15, 2025."
From how I'm reading it nearly everything is postponed. They even have a section at the bottom that says to contact them if you receive a late PAYMENT notice.
January 13, 2025 at 6:52 PM
You said "if you owe money, you will be charge interest and penalties starting April 15th" implying the date by which the people in the disaster zone still have to pay by April 15 and I directly refuted that point. I dont know how else to interpret your post.

The IRS, on Jan 3rd 2025, reminded certain taxpayers that their 2023 taxes are due by May 2025. If it's a sufficient disaster I'm sure they'll extend.

tax guy here, you probably didn't mean it like this: but the IRS doesn't decide this, it's already in law for any area FEMA designated as a disaster area.

just a nitpick so people know that they don't decide what is a disaster, and that it's automatic.

If you think they are bad don't look at car rental systems.

Cannot agree more, what was done to natives in the past was vile but we cannot treat them as less than the sovereign peoples they are and what we have promised to them.

Tax revenue, more people on their land buying things.

goat, thank you.

I've tried that with a subdomain but it didn't work. I already have my domain as my username but I want to add a subdomain. Their recommended way seems like I need to spin up a whole webserver or something.
