Yeah - he could sense very caustic odors like bleach via trigeminal nerve input (we think). He had gotten sick from drinking bad milk before though. Here's his structural MR scan. Turns out people with no olfactory bulbs can still smell sometimes though.

Does anyone else have two dogs? When they play fight, there’s a lot of practicing neck kill biting. This also involves loud hyena calls. It’s weird that we live with these things.
