despite that my family has already bought the software at least 3 times that i can remember (N64, Master Quest on Gamecube, one of the various incarnations of Virtual Shop) i'd entertain paying for an official PC build if it offered at least all the features Ship and RetroArch collectively have

unfortunately, Reshade is for windows. kevinlekiller's Reshade for Linux is for wine and proton. Ship's Linux version doesn't use wine or proton. Shaderglass can't use wine or proton because it requires windows API stuff.

honestly i can't remember anymore, i hate math. maybe the first one is technically correct and i just find this one more pleasing. i'll look into it again someday, maybe.

also i did it backwards on that attempt so it's supposed to look like this (i don't feel like programming things and GIMP only has YUV by default so i rotate the colors 33 degrees first and i went the wrong way oops)

i guess i could try to make an example for that too, although ideally it would just look like as good as a png zoomed out and almost as good zoomed in

i don't own the rights to this image and i don't remember where i got it :)

anyways the idea is that like what if analog multiplexing was a lot harder than irl and a simpler version of compatible color with only 1 component channel instead of 2 caught on for some uses
