The modern tooling helps a lot in this case, eslint react hooks will tell you when you are doing things that does not follow the implicit rules of react. The rest is pretty much standard fp style JavaScript

I see the issue, it’s especially tricky because it’s so tempting to structure it this way. But what are the alternatives? Maybe conditional styling, assuming <Wrapper /> is mostly handling visual presentation?

when our teachers started teaching us Coq, they first shared examples of historically costly software bugs and discussed the significant responsibilities programmers bear, then they went on to explain the Curry-Howard correspondence and how it was possible to formally prove software
