What the local politicians seem to be missing is that none of the additional housing tied to the transit funding has actually been built yet. Maybe the province is waiting to see those riders in new homes.

The dumb-ass cheques were to be stamped with Freeland’s name though, presumably allowing Carney to campaign against such frivolous waste in the months ahead.

I suspect that in the years before the housing shortage, developers had to compete more on amenities and design than they do now, when people just need somewhere to live and everything else is secondary (and proforma don’t allow for flashy amenity)

3 different groups of people at the brewery were watching it on cellphones. I don’t think I’ve seen that for any World Series or Stanley cup before.
