I've always wanted to see iA Writer on posters in the streets of Zurich. This week we took a few days to make a draft. What do you think?

They are inspired by the VW bug ads from Ogilvy. I think they work as posters as well as magazine ads (magazine ads are not gonna happen though).

Cleaning up the website for iA's 20th anniversary this year. Almost through all the illustrations. About 20 are missing and some are still lame. We will go through all of them and fix tagging, categorization and formatting, too. Try to find hi res images, where available. Taking care.

They use ChatGPT to create and justify policy. This may be why they put islands on the list that have no inhabitants. This is where they get all their wrong numbers and asinine ideas from. They ask ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude to justify their insane wishes and dreams, and AI spits it out for them.

The most Swiss thing I can think of is that we clean our tunnels. Apparently, we have been cleaning our tunnels for over 50 years. Apparently it's done for safety, but the real reason is that clean tunnels are just more Swiss than dirty tunnels.

"What is the Matrix?"
"The Matrix is the world that was pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth."
"What truth?"

I heard these stories as a child, and I found them frightening, but these days, where the very same dumb and evil nationalistic idiocy is rising again everywhere, exactly in the same way it had before the Second World War... It all feels so unreal and suffocating that I can't stomach it anymore.

For two weeks on my commute I wrote down what she told me, the insults, the humiliations, the lies. Tears streaming down my face.

The Swiss hating Italians? Really? Why? "They're eating cats…" In the 60s some restaurants in Switzerland still had door signs like "No dogs or Italians allowed." Yep.

Apple’s Writing Tools replaces your original text. You can’t see the edits. There is no clear way to track the differences. Luckily, iA Writer highlights the additions made by Apple's AI.

iA Writer 7 dims the text you paste from AI tools. As you edit ChatGPT’s input and make it your own, iA Writer keeps track of what is yours and what isn’t.

The first time I heard the word “launch” I had no idea what it meant. I quickly understood that launch day is like test day in school. A day where pain teaches you what you should have learned.

From a slide deck 20 years ago. I was hired as a freelancer to design it for a sales presentation for a big client. Sadly, the person managing it didn't care about design, so I gave in and shaped it just like manager said. Manager was happy. I was bubbling with sarcastic giggles. Pitch tanked badly.
