Remember when government corruption was considered bad? Or when the US constitution was respected and generally followed by the government it established? Or when the government was actually in the business of making lives better for its citizens (even if it wasn't great at it)? Or when autocrats like Hitler and Putin were considered bad? Or when democracy was a principle worth defending? Or when the president could be respected and not feared by everyone who disagrees with him? Or when we had a president who could actually speak intelligently? I miss those days.
