Bagels are overrated.
There's too much focus on the censorship, and fascism angle of this story, and not enough on the bribery, and oligarchy angle.

The merger should remain off the table. These companies are much too big already.

I was pre-soured. I didn't want a Carney gov't, and I mostly expected what we've gotten so far, but voted Liberal despite that.

Knowing that one way or the other we were getting a Con gov't, I just didn't want our Prime Minister to be an overt asshole.

"That's what drives me crazy. Because of ideology, they decide to put an injunction in." -- Doug Ford

He talks a lot about judges' "ideology" around bike lanes. I would like to hear Doug explain more about "ideology", and what it is that's driving his own obsession.

1) Multi-user chat.
2) Not a Bluesky feature, but legislation forcing the big guys to use open protocols. Unrealistic? Probably, but that's the utopia I fantasize about.

What really stinks about this is that the ongoing problems appear to be server-side.

Serious question: Is there an active dev team who are going to spend real time looking at my transaction logs, and figure this out?

I don't mean to throw shade, but the state of the website makes me question.

The intentional deception is the National Liberal government naming their Bill C5, that dupes all of the policy, and problems of the Ontario PC government's Bill 5.

Sure... Let's just ride this tiger... Nothing to be worried about.

OMG. AI is as existential a threat as climate change, and we are at least a decade behind on needed regulations.

I didn't watch it, and I don't know you, but somehow I'm certain you're right.

What I've found works best for getting a proper amount of sleep is long-term unemployment with no family obligations, and accepting that my natural sleep cycle is 2am - 10am. Totally recommended!

Being Canadian, it's not easy to know which movies are "R", but memories of having to sneak into a certain musician biopic when Canada's "R" was much stricter than U.S.A.'s was a big clue. Good times...
