"Holy crap, Lois! A horror story about mental-illness that treats the victim of it like they're a human deserving of empathy!" As someone who's had to deal with bi-polar disorder passed down from my mom, I found this book to be exceptionally tasteful. Thanks for making this, @keezyyoung.bsky.social

I just finished building two epic Lego DC mechs and I made Lego Batman and Lego Superman hold hands and love each other this is one of the few moments of joy I have felt in these melancholy times

Pretty much everything from the Absolute universe have been some of the best DC stuff I've ever read. Top 3 of them for me are Superman, MartianManhunter and the Flash.

What bugs me about Batman/Iron-Man is the cultural impact more than the art itself. 2000's/2010's pop-culture stories of rich "great" men bypassing laws and saving us from peril because we're defenceless on our own has played at least some part in idiots having faith in "charismatic" billionares

There's a few self-contained stories I really love like the refreshing take on his origin; Birthright, Smashes the Klan is a great elseworld's tale, and Red and Blue is an anthology collection but it might be my favourite

My best guess is the alternate dimension in Peacemaker is actually Earth-X and the show's 2nd season will end with a tease of our earth's heroes vs that universe's metahumans

Absolute Superman did something similar. Krypton's ruling upper class cannibalized it's own planet for profit. The reason most of the Kryptonians die in this universe is because disinformation was spread so the rich could flea while the poor suffered, which led to everyone's demise except Kal-El

James Gunn made a smart choice giving just enough screentime for the JG members to leave us wanting more as it encouraged people to read more comics. It led to me reading @planetx.bsky.social's lovely Hawkgirl limited-series. Support comic-creators y'all, they're the reason cape-flicks are a thing
