I wish Hori still made these with the second stick; the 360 version was a really good all-in-one emulation controller. The Hyperkin Duke is a decent replacement, but the D-pad's not great and not everyone likes how big it is.

being picked by obama turned garland into a radical leftist in republicans' eyes, and then that perception turned him into a liberal folk hero who's going to exact his revenge on the gop, when actually he was always the least likely guy to do that

it's still crazy how quickly everyone forgot that the entire point of obama picking garland was to go "look at how unreasonable the gop is being; i picked the exact centrist moderate that they said they'd be okay with and now they won't even give him a hearing!"

i think the only game that could be considered a "ds lite game" would be the version of the web browser that came with a shorter ram cartridge so it didn't stick out on a ds lite, and that's not playable on a dsi because there's no gba slot

taking that somewhat generous reading, this is the closest i can get to a diagram

Unless it's a garden path sentence, where "relative to the caucus" sounds at first like it's a clarification of "as far as we're concerned" but on a closer read the core sentence is actually "the future [of the party] is going to fall relative to the caucus and members" but what would that mean?
November 5, 2025 at 3:11 AM
...we're communicating to the American people like, 'we understand, you deserve better than the country that you have received.'"

I don't think that even is a sentence; the entire thing is preamble and dependent clauses that never actually completes the original thought.

"No, I think the future of the Democratic party is going to fall, as far as we're concerned, relative to the House Democratic Caucus and members who are doing a great work all across the country, as it relates to our need to both take back control of the House, but in doing so make sure that (cont.)

kinda surprised he hasn't started sending his posts as emergency phone alerts to everyone. he did that one test in 2018 and never tried it again.

If we're too small a percentage of the electorate to bother catering to, then stop blaming us when you lose.

Harris already tried the strategy of abandoning the left to try and pick up Republican votes. It doesn't work -- Republicans will still call any Democrat nominee a gay communist, but now you lose the actual gay communist vote.

The drafters of the 22nd could have added more unambiguous language like "No one who has been elected president twice shall ever serve as president again" and "Under no circumstances shall any individual serve as president for a total of more than ten years" or updated the 12th to say "electable"
October 27, 2025 at 3:39 PM
If he were to do this and then Vance immediately resigns & he takes over for the full term, then he would retroactively violate the other part of the 22nd (no one who has served more than half of someone else's term can be elected >1x), though it could be argued that only applies to future elections
October 27, 2025 at 3:32 PM
One argument is that the 12th requires the VP to be eligible to *be* president and the 22nd only restricts eligibility to be *elected* president. If the change in eligibility status happens upon the second election, it can't make one ineligible to *be* president or else no one could serve a 2nd term
