Since many of my computers are doing nothing at home, they are now running the @foldingathome.org project to help science.
It allows you to donate your computer’s idle processing power to scientific research.
If all my machines can help, yours probably can too.

These are a bunch of new CI checks I've added to one of my new project.
It's really fun, and also really useful.
For instance, I have this check that makes sure all translation files are complete and no translations is missing.

I think only sales people think that other humans want to talk to sales.

No one, ever, wants to talk to sales. And I do work in a *huge* company who is used to these kind of big vendors.

So it's even worse for solo devs.
Show us the product.

Kinda incredible that we have to download a 2.5Gb file to update to a minor OS version.

Where is the love of crafting efficient pieces of software?

Hope this will help staying sane in this platform also.

For this new project, I'm building something I've wanted for years: an administration panel to manage users, without having to peak in the database to do actions.

I even add unit tests for these too.

You gotta treat yourself.

Less, but I took a break of several years to use Overcast instead, before this horrible, horrible redesign happened earlier this year.

Dune Prophecy: the first episode is actually interesting.
I was very scared to start this show since I found it to be too opportunistic.
The first episode is decent, the photography is great, and the actors are okay. It made me want to see what's next.

Sneak peek of a new project I'm working on.

Designed for small teams who want to organize themselves without going through sprints, agile bullshit 🫢

The only thing I wish for PHP 9, or 10, or any other major version: get rid of this at the top of each file.

After this, I'd consider the language complete.

8.4 went well for me.

thanks 🤗

However i've found a workaround which works ~ok.

I have no choice to load a list of all the contacts on the frontend, then I have a search field at the top of the list, and I filter through the results with JS.

The field in the database of one of my upcoming project.

Everything is encrypted in the database. Laravel makes it super easy to encrypt data. It's actually done automatically if you want.

The interesting part with encrypted data is how you search specific things. Super fun 😅
