We’re not feeling optimistic about our futures—so what can legislators do? As civil rights are eroded daily, I urge our elected leaders to enact #ReproductiveJustice policies. It’s the only pathway through which we can truly thrive. The framework already exists. The blueprint is clear.

Can someone tell Trump that this isn’t The Apprentice?

Did y’all see this? Florida continues to spread wild misinformation. Our nation's health is in jeoparty because of RFK Jr.’s antivax stance. And it doesn’t stop there. Florida just signed onto the lawsuit against Mifepristone-one of the safest, most effective, and most tested medications out there.

🚨 Big news to share! 🚨

Today, we unveiled the Reproductive Justice Is the Way: A Community Practice Workbook — a powerful new resource from @blackwomensrj.bsky.social to help individuals and organizations bring RJ values to life in their communities.

Costco claims the decision not to sell #Mifepristone is a “lack of demand from our members and other patients.” But really, they folded under pressure. As states continue to tighten their restrictions on abortion across the country, patients should be able to what they need wherever they can get it.

Disappointing? Yes. Surprising? Not in the slightest.
Despite signing an Executive Order directing the government to expand access to IVF, the White House has stated they have no plans – no bill, no legal challenges, NOTHING – to fulfill that EO or Trump’s promise of affordable IVF. #AccessNotTalk

DC, like many cities, is unbearably hot this summer. And while climate change is top of mind, we must also name environmental racism. Communities of color are exposed to toxic air, water, and soil—poisons from power plants and highway emissions. These corporate assaults harm our reproductive health

Tell me again that #ReproJustice doesn’t include housing justice! Investigations have been looking into housing discrimination, gentrification & environmental racism, but the Administration thinks these things are “woke” Spoiler: It’s basic human decency.Read the Black RJ Policy Agenda to learn more

#SayHerName today & forever. It’s been 10 years since Sandra Bland died in police custody & still no justice. I fight for Sandra & the countless Black women, girls, & gender-expansive folks taken from us by police, our healthcare system, & a society built on racism & misogyny. Rest in Power, Sandra

The only way we can fight the people who want to take away our bodily autonomy is by doing it together. Read more in Prism: prismreports.org/2025/06/24/d...

Today marks 3 years since #Dobbs. My predecessor, Marcela, and I want to remind you Roe gave the right to privacy—but not access to abortion. Rights mean little if you have to travel far, pay out of pocket, or beg to be believed. We need real access to abortion and reproductive healthcare.

CDC’s vaccine advisors are crucial to providing COVID-19 vaccination guidance, and when that committee defied RFK’s advice not to vaccinate children against COVID, they were REPLACED with people who will just do what he says w/o second thought. At what point will ppl fully stop trusting the CDC?

Kentucky has a near-total trigger law ban on abortion as well as a six-week abortion ban. Now, the lawsuit filed to challenge these pieces of legislation has been dropped.

@velshimsnbc.bsky.social said the quiet part out loud. Anti-choice extremists are on a warpath to control our bodies and futures. We must take action NOW and pass #ReproductiveJustice policies to safeguard our bodily autonomy. Check out the video ⬇️

Wait… didn’t we just celebrate Missouri's vote to protect abortion rights in November? Now the Missouri Supreme Court has reinstated the state’s abortion ban? 🤔There’s nothing more undemocratic than enforcing a policy that ignores the will of the people. This fight for #RJ is far from over.

We need to talk about what’s happening in Louisiana ⬇️
Instead of giving students real sex ed and full health care access—extremist lawmakers want to steer pregnant teens to unlicensed, anti-abortion centers. #RJ means having the power to decide what happens to our bodies, health care, and futures.

Adriana Smith, a 30 yo Georgia nurse, was declared brain-dead after suffering blood clots during pregnancy. Due to the state's abortion laws, Emory Hospital kept her on life support to allow her fetus to reach viability, despite her family's objections. We cannot look away. We must demand better.

Happy Asian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month! Love this pic of @schoimorrow & I at the Repro Roundtable hosted by Speaker Jeffries last year. Sung Yeon is working hard to advance RJ for AAPI women in the US. It's always great to have a partner as we fight for access for all women of color!

🧵A new @americanprogress survey shows Black LGBTQ+ people were the most likely to go elsewhere for abortion or reproductive health care. RJ requires centering the needs of the most targeted & marginalized. When we do that, we create inclusive policy interventions with liberation at the forefront

Texas claims it's clarifying its abortion ban—but confusion will continue. We’ve seen the deadly impact of delayed care: sepsis, unbearable waiting, death. This bill:
✖️ Doesn’t cover fetal anomalies, rape, or incest
✖️ Keeps criminal penalties
✖️ Leaves hospital lawyers—not doctors—calling the shots

Grateful to be with our movement partners, @LatinaInstitute and @napawf.org, strategizing how we advance Reproductive Justice for women of color. The #ReproJustice movement was built on the foundation of intersectionality. When we build solidarity, we strengthen our work. #IntersectionsOfOurLives

The PREEMIE Reauthorization Act would create a working group to prevent preterm birth and infant mortality. Thanks to @robinlynnekelly.bsky.social for joining us during #BMHW to discuss this crucial legislation.

Improving maternal health outcomes for Black women starts with better data and deeper research. Grateful to @repbonnie.bsky.social and @robinkelly.house.gov for championing the urgent need to address racial inequities in reproductive health care. #BMHW
