Again the victim of terrible officiating today... Lanzilotta called for the penalty when he was the one who was fouled.... regardless, it wasn't a good enough performance today. It's going to be a long week to sit on this loss. Not a great way to the start the season #CastrumFavaraReggina 2️⃣-1️⃣

The stage is set for the 2025-26 season in Serie D Group I. 18 teams will make up our group, including 2 new teams from Campania (Savoia and Gelbison), 4 in Calabria (Reggina, Vibonese, Sambiase and Vigor Lamezia), and 12 in Sicily, including a renewed derby with Messina.

Reggina will play a friendly Wednesday in the mountainside village of Santo Stefano in Aspromonte, at the Campo Cucullaro against Maltese side Victoria Hotspurs FC. The match will be streamed on the Hotspurs Facebook page at 11:00 am EDT. It will be the 1st test of the pre-season for Trocini's squad

Trocini has been confirmed ✅ The work can now begin to build a team in the summer that can dominate the group in 2025/2026. There is a strong base to start from, we now await news on the contract renewals of Grillo, Barranco, Cham, and N'Doye.

The door to Serie C is looking increasingly closed as Covisoc has shockingly given the green light to everyone but SPAL, despite a dozen clubs reportedly unable to present the 700k surety bond and others having bank accounts in the red. Inter Milan U23 will likely get the open spot left by SPAL...

There is not enough discussion about how Reggina got into Serie C through repechage in 2016. Finished 4th in the league, only got to the semi-finals of the playoffs. How did that happen so easily when we were 10x worse than the current team?!

Some hope has emerged of another Serie C club failing: This is AC Bra, newly promoted from Serie D, who could be in trouble due to their economic standing and not having a stadium that is up to Serie C code. Bra has objected to the reports, but we will know more by the registration deadline (June 6)

It's poetic that Renelus scores the match-winner against Scafatese, the team that filed an appeal earlier this season by claiming that his contract was invalid. It ended up being a data glitch on the Serie D website and the appeal was tossed. Perfect way to rub their faces in it.
