The best part of my job is making a difference for the families who need it most. This holiday season and beyond, my office is here to help relieve some of the burden folks are holding, from feeding our neighbors to getting relief passed in the Legislature.

Yesterday I joined local community groups to hand out food to neighbors in need. With SNAP cuts, they’ve already given out 700 more bags than this time last year. I'm grateful for our community organizers and their commitment to ensuring no family goes hungry this holiday season!

Today my team and I helped deliver over $2,000 in food donations that I was able to secure for Aid in Milan to help families and seniors put food on their tables this Thanksgiving.

I won't be silenced. People in our community shouldn’t be wondering where they will find their next meal and I will do everything in my power to protect Michigan’s SNAP benefits.

We worked hard for a school budget that increases investment in our kids, teachers, and schools. I’m happy to share that every school in District 31 will see increased investment from this budget.

I’m following the news of the threat to Monroe County Community College this morning. I’m relieved to learn that everyone is okay. Campus security is working with the Monroe County Sheriff's Department to ensure the scene is clear and is asking that everyone remain off campus.

Michigan’s residents deserve honest representation at every level of government. This is not about disqualifying candidates, it’s about transparency and voters having a choice.
