The return of looted cultural heritages is a vital step in addressing colonial injustices. Yet, restitution alone is not enough. It must serve as the beginning of a new ethical relationship between former colonizers and affected communities, one built on respect, dialogue, and shared responsibility.

It is unacceptable that the restitution of Ngonnso, a sacred symbol of dignity and identity for the Nso people, continues to be delayed. ✊🏿Every additional day of inaction reinforces a history of injustice that should have ended long ago. The world is watching, and accountability matters.
