These NPCs show up in most footage of the game, usually either being put in bad or harmful situations. While some theorise these are the souls of Wicked’s victims, they are simply code. Why they are known with human names? A mystery to be sure…

Wicked is able to do just about anything he wants, shifting his form (seen here), manipulating and even creating levels, making new enemies, etc etc.
Since he is able to look into people’s heads, he likes to personalise the game for different people.

Wicked loves playing chess master and is particularly fond of riddles, which he gives through pieces of signage bearing his face, these block off important and even new pieces of hub world and levels.
