Medicare for all would be great if Medicare were safe right now, but aren't you concerned about the risk of privatization through "advantage" plans and other means? Have you looked into supporting state-level efforts like @wholewashington.org?

There's definitely colonialist baggage to that formulation (there are more modern versions for professional engineers now). Just saying that if the ethics went along with the job title, maybe the people building our society's infrastructure wouldn't have broken so many things along the way?

I just wish engineering codes of ethics had been as ubiquitous the title. My dad was an EE and he was so proud of having taken the Obligation of the Engineer.
