Pros: exploring a period not usually touched by horror, Nic Cage is as subdued as Nic Cage gets, leans into the gruesome parts of the Bible
Cons: nothing new here, super overacted, really slow (even boring) at times

Shelby Oaks is a good enough time. I loved the atmosphere it creates.
It’s unsurprisingly glorifying YouTubers but I expected that.
But when you spend years ripping “lazy” filmmaking and “tired tropes,” rly shouldn’t have as much of either in your own film. Just sayin

I just got my hands on an ARC of Chuck Tingle's "Lucky Day," and I'm beyond excited to dive into it! As a fan of Tingle's style and storytelling in books like "Bury Your Gays," I have high hopes for this one. Once I've read it, I'll be sure to share my thoughts. Stay tuned!
