And of course, if you explicitly list all the possible names, you get a result for each one, but some are duplicates, just as if you did "ls foo foo"

You can access them by names which would match a glob that doesn't match the actual files 🤨
First command ls -il f* s* zsh: no matches found: f* second command ls -il ff ffi fi fl ss st Output is files named ff ffi fi fl ss st (as regular characters, not unicode ligatures), with the same inode numbers as the files in the previous post

bare ls unsurprisingly sees the same files as the glob gets in the above loop
command ls -il which lists files named ff fi fl ffi st ſſ along with their inode numbers and other irrelevant information. The inode numbers are unique

Something incredibly broken on the Guardian's site in #firefox if I leave a tab open in the background 🤨

I *think* it only happens if I open the tab and don't switch to it right away, after re-loading the page it idles at a mere 450 MB or so and 1 - 20% CPU

Oh weird, quote-tooting a poll seems to makes it look like you haven't voted (even in unquoted instances of the toot with the poll), although it errors if you try to vote again

#comet C/2025 R2 (SWAN) on Oct 27, aligned on the comet. Definitely faded a bit and not helped by some fog that came in during the shoot

I could complain about the satellites but to be honest the #kwvi downwind leg puts them to shame
Slightly wider view of the same scene as the previous post, but grainy and crossed by bright aircraft trails of alternating red and green as well as fainter trails of satellites in various directions

Not going to even try to shoot a stack in this muck but #comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon) is easily visible with a hint of tail through fog in a single 5s frame. Star just above is mag ~6.5

Last night was relatively fog free for the first time since I don't know when, so here's #comet C/2025 R2 (SWAN). Slightly smeared because the stack is aligned on the stars. Asteroid 4 Vesta and NGC 6171 are also there, if you know where to look
