So they ended food aid, primarily soy, and stopped buying from US farmers who’ve been growing it specifically for the government. Then they got into a trade war and China stopped buying soy.

Now the government will buy soy and do what? Burn this as well?

It does make me wonder who out there is considering regime change for the USA. I mean, so far as we know, two of his own party members are the only wannabe agents of change, but even our allies have got to he wondering if Vance might be a more stable choice

They always talk about “dangerous gang members,” killers and rapists, and that’s what they dress for…
But they’re “arresting” gainfully employed cooks, construction workers and school children.

They’re thugs and bullies cosplaying as badasses

Musk castigated NASA of all the time and money it took for the initial space programs in the 60s and 70s, claiming private industry could do it better for less. It turns out that space is hard, even with 60 years of experience behind us

Fear not! He will definitely blame both Biden and Obama for his own failures. I’ve several X posts about the money returned to Iran at the end of Obama’s term. They always lie about why, but that hardly matters to the faithful

Typically, the goal of war is to force your opponent to capitulate to your demands, so yes, war is both diplomacy and negotiation. It’s an extreme and costly form, but still a tool to be used at need. The historians will decide if it was worth it

The essence of modern conservatism is the denial of truth, and the assertion of lies. If you can’t tell truth from lies, you can’t see the naked, evil cruelty that is the entire point.

Buttigieg has always had an unusually high signal to noise ratio. Trump’s has always been unusually low, though one could argue that’s a signal of its own

Trump is impervious to the actual meanings of songs or he wouldn’t play YMCA at his rallies.

It’s typical that the Right mocks the Left for “Feelings over facts” but choose music for the feeling without understanding the facts (aka lyrics and meaning) behind them.

She pulled him out and told how he hurt her feelings. This does NOT help anything. 1) He doesn’t give a fig for anyone’s feelings. 2) The GOP already spends their days mocking the DNC for “Feelings over facts,” and 3) She *should* have raked him over the coals for being a lying pos
