🕯 Ya Never Know
I'm not sure how much sense it makes, but, pretty,,,

Makes me want to see some kind of "Cold Stone" that could be used like this, perhaps as a sort of counterpart to sandstone.

It's also nice for easier backwards compatibility. (tho that can be achieved through overrides as well) :3

Regardless, definitely exciting stuff! I was just recently encountering it 'cause I was doin' with coin stuffs.

Oh yeah "oreohors" everyone's favorite Bluesky support account =D

I'm not positive, but you *might* be able to use a server.properties file on your single-player world?
I mean, if your hosting it for others to join, I would imagine it's technically functioning as a server? Maybe?

I mean, in theory I would think it'd be possible, as you just need to tell the game to prompt a download like servers do, I just don't know how you might go about that with data packs.

(but yeah I don't know if it is or not, but it definitely should be a thing if it's not already)
November 11, 2025 at 7:19 PM
The way that server resource packs work is they are a 'global download', that players are linked to as an optional, temporary download while using that server.

If what you're trying to achieve is possible I expect it would be very similar to that, but I don't know if data packs have that option.

So, I'm not sure, but I imagine the way that data packs work is like a form of command blocks, in which you're running a script of things already within the game to have the game do different things.

Whereas a resource pack contains new information that's not inherently present.

(why does it have some kind of shining anime eye??)

Oh that's great!

It'd be really sad if Lunge lost its damage utility, as it'd pretty much solely be for movement at that point.
November 10, 2025 at 9:22 PM
Have you noticed decreased damage when using Lunge?

Previously, lunge-charging with a Sharpness V Netherite Sword would 1-shot a zombie, but now it seems to deal the same amount as a jab. (3-shot) :/

But charge damage seems otherwise unaffected, I think?

Ooo the snail is a fun representation of Slowness, and I like the new Jump Boost!
Frog leg is definitely symbolic of that.

Oh I guess I did actually lose some, a couple of my wisdom teeth were literally falling apart.
Those needed to go anyway, though.

Until recently I rarely ever brushed my teeth, and developed large black cavities that I "should've been in excruciating pain" from, and nearly lost me some teeth.
(I also drink soda, which didn't help)

It might suck, but it's absolutely worth it to take good care of them.
