Jane of the Redwoods
@redwoodjay.bsky.social
California liberal who’s got opinions about politics, climate change, Ukraine, and more. Known as @j2Dumfounded🦉elsewhere. Home to the Schadenfreude Report 😈 sometimes
The last time I wrote a thread about a book was on Twitter, and it was about a thrift-store find, Kremlin Capitalism.

But for Blue Sky, I’d like to begin with a gentler topic, which is a gem found at an estate sale today.

May I present

The Washington Cookbook from 1982.

LOL I have unlocked the achievement of being blocked by a Soviet MILF account, despite hardly ever posting on Blue Sky.

Unfortunately, I’m still embedded over on the hellscape where my handle is @J2dumfounded lol

The Kremlin has already made it clear. They’re not open to negotiating. This whole sham is over as far as I’m concerned.

Yeah that seems pricey but I went to a state school.

Thanks for bringing us Trump. You guys conned a vast swath of the electorate. And here we are, in FAFOville, America.
With a guy in the White House, who apparently has been an asset of the KGB for decades. Say hi to President Krasnov.

The study also breaks down some of the data for individual models. The Tesla model S has a rate more than doubled than, at 5.84 billion vehicle miles driven; meanwhile, the Tesla model Y — the best selling vehicle in the world has a fatal crash rate of 10.6, nearly 4 times the average.

Just here to say that the original Captain America resembles somebody we all know and loath. Looking at you, Vladimir Vladimirovich, Putin.

It’s a question that the next few years will begin to answer. We can only hope to be that the answer is positive.”

Dear Lord, I really hope he hasn’t lived to see this unhappy day.

OK, this is what he identifies as chart 7, March 30, 2025. That’s when Neptune crosses the cardinal axis at 0° Aries, in Sextile with Pluto and Uranus.
February 13, 2025 at 6:39 AM
No, it gets worse. Phillips writes about the Pluto return for the United States happening between 2021 and 2023. He is there two ways that could play out.

It’s the first Pluto return for any constitutional democracy.

It could play out two ways.
Run by strongman and corporations (hmm)

How quaint, he suggest that people living now may have more pressing priorities than oil.

Weird how I had this 19 year old magazine the Mountain Astrologer laying around with predictions for this decade 😬 this is the June July 2006 issue, a story about “how the outer planets shape history. It’s written by a guy named Doug Kellogg. I hope he’s not related to the special envoy to Ukraine.

That’s right, condors are being affected so it makes sense that vultures are too. Haven’t seen any lately.

I took this photograph today. What’s a dozen eggs? Half of a book? I remember when a book cost 18 dozen eggs.
