For too long, local races like school board have been ignored. But we know that change happens locally. And when extremists go low, we go local! Congrats to all of the RWB members who won their races this week!

Some extremist candidates tried to hide by rejecting Moms for Liberty endorsements—but they still campaigned on book bans and attacks on LGBTQ+ kids. We called them out and supported candidates who actually care about public education and safe classrooms for all kids instead.

Labor Day is about honoring the workers who came before us, and it is also a reminder that the work is not finished. This weekend we were out in our communities, organizing, lifting each other up, and pushing back against extremism together.

Some people you meet just feel like instant friends. Our NC Regional Organizer had one of those moments over lunch with a Pitt County troublemaker. They shared laughs, good food, and talked about the upcoming Farmville mayoral race.
