rather than "lets make sure no one thinks themselves capable of doing what Jesus did", i think it's more productive to understand Christianity as a faith that got co-opted by big governments to:
1) neutralize the power of community orgs
2) mobilize those people towards war and conquest 'for God'
1) neutralize the power of community orgs
2) mobilize those people towards war and conquest 'for God'

im a christian so I absolutely believe in those miracles and His divinity, but community organization was huge for early Christians. Giving everything you had for others was the literal norm of the faith for a good chunk of time, to the point where many saints gave ALL their posessions to charity
