Head north past this city.
Since it was recently brought up again, there's that one case of AirAsia using street art from Penang as a wrap for the plane.

I'm not sure if I've told anyone recently but one of my dream acquisitions is any ob piece. It started when I first saw A Vow, but I don't think I'll be choosy if the opportunity comes

I'm still looking for Durian despite coming back last Tuesday. It's just different in Malaysia (Black Thorn pictured)

Decided to revisit #MonsterTrain in anticipation of the sequel and...I know this wasn't the plan, but I might stay here a bit longer. I might 100%(ish) it first.

(I love Umbra shenanigans only because a computer does the math for me)

Rule Zero Partnering Freya and Steiner is kind of my low-powered jam.

(Or just run them in Zidane-Stiltskin, but it kinda feels like a nonbo)

Man, I love FFIX

A quick January update.

Started the year with Strong Towns and Piranesi. Now I'm wrapping up The Mushroom at the End of the World, which was something I stumbled upon looking for mushroom-related lore. Not dropping anything yet, it's just the first month.

Partly a consequence of work; mostly a hobby thing. This has been keeping me preoccupied lately.

I know the diaspora to Bluesky to reset to 2012 thing is a meme at best, but the whiplash of getting recommended Emergency Awesome out of nowhere just got me. Probably the Marvel Rivals algo.

Setting what hopefully is the minimum for this year's reading list. These tend to grow, but the goal is to stick to it as much as possible.

Lots of defaulting to Japanese authors I already like, safe picks to get the habit back. Also, Jazz and Urban Planning.

Losing How to Ting/Happy Old Year (2019) on Netflix is somewhat inconvenient, but I'm not letting go of a few traditions that easily.

My #SpotifyWrapped is cooked. #Zutomayo jail for the third year in a row. (in my defense, Jinkōgaku is a banger)

Halfway through my Baker's Dozen of books for 2025, and I'm a bit stuck.

Mostly books from authors I want to revisit and a handful I want to read in a new light.

I toyed with the idea of finally reading Infinite Jest, but House of Leaves ultimately won me over.

Hrm, should I reread Cloud Atlas?

No one warned me that the "And" in Murakami's "Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World" meant dual parallel narratives. I shouldn't have gotten this as an audiobook. I'm dying. I'm dead.

(At least I'm getting a commonplace journal for this author)

Back from a work trip, and I'm really considering eventually moving there for good. I think it's good for someone like me, who loves trains and being alone.
