Small change: I decided that instead of her 16th birthday, she rreceives Hino on her 13th birthday (4 years before the story) as I think her having a pokemon at that point is important for a crucial part of her story

Then throughout the months, Lyra had begun climbing the ranks of the Z-A Royale, slowly gathering a new team, helping with the rogue mega evolutions, and just overall doing what she can. Overtime she slowly feels the same connection to Kalos that she had as a child and she wanted to protect it

Ever since going into a burnout, Lyra stopped putting effort into her appearance and mostly wore very casual clothes. But with some encouragement from Naveen and Lida, some time later, she tried being fashionable again like she used to and had gotten a number of outfits she wears on occasions

But seeing as they really did want her help, especially Urbain, she decided that she would do it, just one last time she'd try to do something as a trainer, which would spark her declaration to have a fresh start. Early on, she was still in some habits she picked up, especially with her clothes

Despite admitting that she is thankful to them for giving her a place to stay and has grown to like them like family already, she had no intention of being a trainer anymore and wasn't going to subject herself to doing something for someone else with the chance of disappointing them.

Urbain had given Lyra a Tepig she named Apollo and in the first month, she got to know him better as well as meeting Lida and Naveen and seeing AZ again. After some time, Urbain asked if she would join Team MZ since she's a strong trainer (none of them know about Hino yet) but she declined at first-

Fast forward 5 years later (about 2 months before the events of Z-A) Lyra returns to the Kalos Region originally as a minor visit. Since she couldn't return to her old home, she took temporary residence in Hotel Z, this is where she'd meet Urbain and the place she'd call home for her future.

The years after this decision weren't kind at all as Lyra had fell into a huge burnout, she drifted away from her old friends, and overall stopped taking good care of herself that she put her previous pokemon (minus Hino) in the care of her old friends so that she doesn't drag them down with her.

Then not even 6 months after, Lyra had stepped down from being champion as she couldn't take faking her pain anymore and made aim to leave the Kalos Region. The news of her sudden retirement caused a swirl of stories and theories as to why she'd suddenly leave after a very short time as champion.

She of course knew that her grandmother's time was short on account that she was sick and had lived a very long life, but it was the biggest pain for her going on a journey to make her happy and now she'll never get to know that Lyra was able to grant her wish. It made it feel it was for nothing.

This really destroyed Lyra's mental state that despite all of the attention she had gotten, the praise she received, the amount of events she was invited to, all of it felt like nothing, the complete opposite of what she wanted now that the most important person in her life was gone forever.

Throughout her journey, Lyra had always told her grandmother about all of her different achievements, and after her and her few friends became the Heroes of Kalos, she aimed to tell her about it as her greatest achievement, but it was too late when she went home to learn that she had passed away.
