Interesting how Dixon was convinced Jones should have just lumped it over the top yet what he did was play it to Kane on the wing. Perhaps that’s why he didn’t just lump it forward. Because there was no one there.

Refereeing in the women’s Merseyside Derby has been dreadful. Everton just got a penalty for a marginal foul two feet outside the box. It was harder to get that decision wrong than right. The defender was not close to the box at all in that move. Refs having an absolute mare.
