Breaks my heart in 2 :(

This breaks my heart. My very dear friend lives there, and he tries very hard to protect me from seeing the awful situation. He never sends photos or videos of it because he doesn't want me to worry. I worry for him all the time. I'm so glad that you've lived through this experience this morning.
