I just had a big brain moment. I don't like chopping nuts because they end up making a mess and like to catapult themselves around the counter. Ziploc has entered the chat. I put them in a baggie and used the back of my knife. Nuts chopped. Nuts and nut dust? Contained. 🤣

This year's "I bake it, you take it", for my Christmas guests is "lemon" pound cake, using a ridiculous amount of limquats from my limequat tree in the back yard. 🤣 Last year's gift was banana bread, from the abundance of tiny bananas from my mom's dwarf Cavendish trees.

This birthday trip has made me feel like a Disney princess. Been followed by deer, had birds and a raccoon hop right on the table in front of me, had a firefly nearly land on my shirt, picked up a fly and had it crawling on my hand, and made friends with the resident yellowjackets. 🤣

In other news, I gave my garage a much needed lighting makeover. Now that I can clearly see all the junk I need to clean out, maybe I'll actually do it. 🤣 I still have one more light to wire to light up that now dark left rear corner. But its almost there!
